Rakell, who replaced Blues forward Alexander Steen (shoulder) on the roster, had one assist against Team Finland on Sept. 8 in a pre-tournament game but was not in the lineup against Team Finland on Saturday with what is reported as a stomach virus.
Berglund, 28, had 10 goals and 15 points in 42 regular-season games and four goals and nine points in 20 playoff games to help the Blues advance to the Western Conference Final last season; he has 128 goals and 134 assists in 555 regular-season games in eight seasons with the Blues.
Berglund joins teammates Alex Pietrangelo and Jay Bouwmeester (Team Canada), Vladimir Tarasenko (Team Russia), Jori Lehtera (Team Finland), Dmitrij Jaskin and Vladimir Sobotka (Team Czech Republic) and Colton Parayko (Team North America) as one of eight Blues playing in the tournament.
Team Sweden has one final pre-tournament game Wednesday against Team Europe at Verizon Center in Washington (6 p.m. on ESPN3).
The World Cup begins at Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Saturday. Team Sweden plays its World Cup opener Sunday against Team Russia (2 p.m. on ESPN).
