Blues announce 2014 Traverse City roster, schedule

                             Five of team's 2014 draft picks will participate, including 
                                first rounder Fabbri, second round pick Barbashev

ST. LOUIS -- The Blues announced their roster and schedule for the 2014 NHL Prospects Tournament, which takes place annually in Traverse City, Mich.

The Blues will take along 25 players to the tournament, which will be held Sept. 12-16 and showcase some of the top prospects from eight different organizations.

Along with the Blues, the Detroit Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild and New York Rangers will also participate.

The Blues will be part of the Gordie Howe Division with the Blue Jackets, Red Wings and Wild, where clubs will participate in a three-game round robin series of games and the winners in each division earning a spot in the championship game Sept. 16. The Sabres, Hurricanes, Stars and Rangers makeup the Red Lindsay Division.

Prior to departing, the Blues' prospects, which include 2014 first-round pick Robby Fabbri (who signed a three-year, two-way entry level contract Wednesday) and second round pick Ivan Barbashev, will hold a team practice at the Ice Zone inside St. Louis Outlet Mall on Sept. 11 at noon that is open to the public.

Sept. 12 vs. Detroit, 6:30 p.m.
Sept. 13 vs. Minnesota, 3 p.m.
Sept. 15 vs. Columbus, 2:30 p.m.
Sept. 16 vs, TBD, time TBA
